Global precision instrument manufacturer Anton Paar is strengthening its presence in Southern Africa and beyond as demand for reliable, high-end laboratory and industrial measurement solutions continues to grow across the continent.

The company’s advanced technologies are designed to meet the evolving needs of industry and research institutions. Established in 1922, the Anton Paar group is recognised as a world leader in the measurement of density, concentration, CO₂ and rheometry, with additional expertise in areas such as petroleum testing, microwave synthesis, viscometry, polarimetry, refractometry, X-ray scattering, sample preparation and surface characterisation.

Since establishing a dedicated Southern African subsidiary in 2013, Anton Paar has expanded its footprint with branches in Johannesburg, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, along with staff based in Tanzania, Ethiopia and Cameroon. The company's 70-strong team provides comprehensive sales, application and technical support, as well as a certified service offering to customers across South Africa and the broader sub-Saharan African region.
